BREAKING OF ANCIENT COVENANTS
INTRODUCTION:
SOURCE OF COVENANTS
Covenants can either be positive (Godly) or negative (ungodly). It could be done by blood or without blood, but blood covenants are more potent and difficult to break (Gen. 15).
Covenants may be between husbands and wives, brothers, in-laws, friends, and former friends (enemies).
When one makes a covenant, one is saying:
Joshua 9:25—And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth good and right unto thee to do unto us, do.
Where there is a blood covenant, it means that:
If one person dies, the life of that person is in the hands of the other person, and so they should be held responsible.
Both of you are saying, "You and I belong together"—meaning it is a sacrifice, and your lives do not belong to you anymore.
You relinquish your entire future into the hands of the other person, for better or for worse.
Some Ways of Contracting Covenants
Through sexual intercourse (soul-ties).
Through customs and traditions such as initiation ceremonies, chieftaincy rites, naming ceremonies, circumcision rites, burial rites, etc.
Through eating habits.
Trespassing.
Other cultural activities.
LIFE OF COVENANTS
Exodus 34:7—Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
The Word of God says four generations.
The blessings of Abraham in Genesis 14:12-20 were fulfilled in Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and fourthly Levi, one of the twelve sons of Jacob. The mystery is in Hebrews 7:1-10:
Hebrews 7:8-9 — And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
When a man stands as a father and makes a covenant on your behalf, it lasts for four generations with its full effect, gain, benefit, or repercussion before it stops (that is, if no one enters into another similar or different covenant).
By these covenants, the devil has certain equitable rights over lives, businesses, children, marriages, education, etc.
Reflective Questions
a. How many of our great-grandfathers and mothers went to juju houses searching for children?
b. How many of them made covenants with the goddess of the river, god of iron, family/compound juju, or other deities for peace, protection, healing, provision, fertility, long life, to fight or avenge so-called enemies, academic success, good luck, or to be made attractive or favoured?
c. How many of them buried things in their houses, hung them on doorposts, or at the entrance of their compounds?
d. How many of them have marks on their faces, chests, laps, hands, etc.?
These are bondages we have been dragged into without our consent. They are still binding except when one deliberately, consciously, and diligently breaks the bond through the knowledge of the power and workings of our Lord Jesus Christ (the benefits of the Cross of Calvary).
Usually, when a covenant is enacted, conditions from both parties are put in place, including punishment and curses for the default party. So if our dead parents or ancestors did not tell us the covenant responsibilities to continue, then the agreed curse would be following us. Spirits do not die.
HOW CAN I BE FREE?
Use a new and stronger covenant to cancel the previous one.
NOTE: No one can exist without a covenant. Why? Because your existence is a covenant unto the Lord—that "you should rule over all that He created." The terms of the covenant of rulership and domination are to obey all His commandments.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed, God cursed them regarding the very nature through which they should have been ruling. LORD HAVE MERCY.
Signs of Existing Covenants

(ii) Late marriage
(iii) No child
(iv) Unstable home
(v) Seeing or hearing what others do not see or hear
(vi) Fear, hatred, and worry
(vii) Many others
HOW TO END A COVENANT
Covenants are ended prayerfully. The victim must be willing to end those covenants and MUST be under the new covenant of the blood of Jesus.
Step 1: Consecrate all (Hosea 10:12)
Step 2: Visualize them (Hebrews 11:13)
Step 3: Renounce them (Acts 19:18-19)
Step 4: Bind and cast (Matthew 18:18)
Step 5: Stop them (Mark 9:25)
Step 6: Decree what you desire (Job 22:28)
Step 7: Stay or remain holy and obedient to the Word of God
Detailed Breakdown of the Steps:
Step 1: Except for total consecration, please do not proceed to the next step, because it will not work unless you surrender all to Jesus. He is the only one who has and can subdue all powers in heaven and earth.
Step 2: Visualize all things as living entities that can be strangulated—spiritual husbands or wives, demonic children, poverty-stricken situations, evil dreams, problems, impossible situations, pains, fear, sickness, etc. Be rest assured, God likes and always shows up when situations and circumstances look impossible to man.
Step 3: Renouncing is the most effective method of ending a covenant. Renounce every agreement and break its power over your dreams, thoughts, pains, sicknesses, and failures. This kind of prayer is said aloud, and the devil must know that you are annoyed. (“Since the days of John the Baptist…”) Also, fast according to the leading of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 17:21).
Step 4: Remind the devil you are aware of your authority to bind and cast out to dry places, and that you are actively exercising the mandate given to you by the Word of God (Revelation 12:11). NOTE: Neither God, nor Jesus, nor the Holy Ghost will cast out the devil for you. It is your mandate.
Step 5: Deliverance cases are repeated because we are not careful to give a command to demons not to come back again. Remind them that Jesus said, "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm."
Step 6: Your mandate is to uproot and destroy the works of the devil and also plant the work of God. There is no vacancy in the spirit or physical realm. (Operation Gideon)
Step 7: Holiness, righteousness, and obedience to the Word of God will KEEP your deliverance and preserve the new covenant of the blood of Jesus.
